### Tools and materials Make sure you have all the necessary tools before starting work: - Hand saw or electric saw - Phillips and flathead screwdriver - Building level (minimum 80 cm) - Rolling tape measure (5m) - Carpenter's pencil - Vapour-proof mounting tape - Low-density mounting foam - Mounting angles (if not included with the window) - Mounting screws ### Safety first ** IMPORTANT:** Working at height involves risks! Install the bottom part of the flashing - under the tiles 3. Then the side parts - under the tiles on the sides 4. Finally the top part - on the tiles 5. Make sure you have the correct overlap (at least 10cm) Most common mistake: Reverse installation order - water then runs UNDER the flashing instead of ON it!

### Interior sealing 1. Fit vapour-permeable tape around window frame 2. Apply mounting foam in gaps (low-clearance!) 3. After foam has hardened, trim excess with knife 4. Solution: Always install from the bottom up! Bottom part UNDER the tiles, top part ON the tiles. ### ❌ Mistake 4: Lack of damp-proofing Effect: Roof truss rot, mould. Solution: Vapour-permeable tape + low-density foam MUST be used!
